Of course I would be in denial if I did not put the beautiful Irish quartet Kodaline as one of my Glastonbury highlights.
They were one of my first acts at Glastonbury and as I managed to sneak my way to the front I was hoping that these guys would replicate their sensational debut album In A Perfect World which features the often melancholic yet acoustic up-tempo versatility that is unique to these indie rock upstarts.

After their first song received a chant of ‘mic,mic,mic’ throughout I was in anticipation of Kodaline‘s capability. Had they simply lost their voices? But it turned out that Glastonbury and the John Peel stage weren’t quite technically ready for the sensation that was Kodaline. But after a quick flick of a switch, every single fan was taken away…
